Se7en

Se7en, featuring Morgan Freeman

Inspector Somerset

African animal ornaments gives the audience a sense of his cultural background. Single figure could suggest he is lonely and feels isolated. The creased shirt suggests there is no female living with him as steiotypically it would be a women that would take care of the man's ironing and clothes. The lack of colour also suggest there is no women representationn. From the diegetic sound we get the impression he lives in a flat or an apartment in the middle of the city because we here cars and the sound of people talking and getting into there flat.

We know its in a urban setting because of the noise from outside the flat. There is people talking and cars moving along and pipping the horn.

We get the impression Inspector Somerset lives alone because of how tiding the flat/apartment it, there is no childrens toys or sign of children living with the inpector such as childrens picutres on te fridge. Everything is placed in order, nothing is out of place. The way he makes his bed is in a regimented order which could suggest he has been in the amry or some sort in the past.
